Itinerary: Day 1 Fly Vancouver to Beijing via Hong Kong on award-winning Cathay Pacific Airways. Day 2 Arrive Hong Kong and connect onto Dragon Air flight to Beijing, the capital of China. Holiday Inn Temple of Heaven Hotel. Day 3 Visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and a boat ride on Kunming Lake. Enjoy a fabulous welcome banquet featuring the famous Beijing Duck in the evening. (B/L/SD) Day 4 Full day tour to the Great Wall and a Cloisonne Factory. After lunch, visit the Ming Tombs and the Chang Ling Exhibition Museum. Drive around the main Olympic venues, the National Stadium (Bird's nest) and the National Aquatics (the Water Cube H2O3). (B/L) Day 5 Visit the Temple of Heaven in the morning. Afternoon is free for you to explore Beijing or take an optional Hutong pedicab tour. (B/L) Day 6 Morning flight to Xian, the most historic city in China and the capital of ancient China for 11 dynasties. Visit the Ancient City Walls, the Big Goose Pagoda, and the Bell Tower. Tianyu Gloria Plaza Hotel. (B/L) Day 7 Full day Terra-cotta & Warriors with lunch. Dumpling Dinner and a spectacular stage show at the Tang Dynasty Theatre. (B/L/SD) Day 8 Fly to Chongqing. Upon arrival, your city tour will include a visit to the Stilwell Museum where you will see a collection of World War II memorabilia. After dinner, board the 5-star Century Star Cruises and being your memorable journey on the Yangtze River. (B/L/D) Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise. Today's shore excursion is to Shibaozhai, famous for its 12-story wooden pagoda built against a sheer cliff on the river bank over 400 years ago. (B/L/D) Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise. Today we will cruise through the famous Three Gorges, Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, and the Xiling Gorge. (B/L/D) Day 11 Morning excursion to the Three Gorges Dam site, the largest hydroelectric project int he world. Embark Yichang and transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai - "Paris of the Orient". Sightseeing in Shanghai includes the bustling shopping street Nanjing Road, the Bund along the Huangpu River. Vista Holiday Inn Shanghai Hotel. (B/L) Day 12 Full day visiting the Shanghai Museum, Jade Buddha Temple, the Yu Garden, and the Old Shanghai Bazaar. (B/L) Day 13 A free day for you to enjoy Shanghai.
